René Quijada: ART DIRECTOR
He is the founder of Kihada Works Design Inc, and a former chair member of the Graphic Designers of Canada, British Columbia Chapter (MGDC), and Icograda IDA Rene Quijada is a well-respected professional in the design world. His concepts are inspirational; his work is influential, creating high-impact advertising campaigns, brands, marketing and strategic web development design. His 15 years of experience in visual arts, graphic design and interactive communications gives his work a superior quality and strong flavour.
Quijada/Kihada has used his unique perspective and skill set to create powerful and functional design for clients such as Schenker Logistics, Roseneath Theater, Joey Restaurant, Old Spaghetti Factory, Dreams Take Flight, Vancouver Latin American Film Festival, BC Ready Concrete Association, ScotiaMcleod among others. Rene Quijada has taught and mentored at Vancouver Film School where he engaged in visual communications, typography, and print design.
Michael Robinson: DEVELOPER
Michael works with Internet Start-ups to build dynamic teams and provide vision and direction for companies looking to work in an agile development environment. A leader in user experience and all things AJAX, Michael feels comfortable developing web applications from concept to creation and believes simplicity is the hallmark of exceptional software. When he is not striving to create bulletproof teams, Michael is scheming his next whitewater trip and has led kayaking expeditions in Laos, Vietnam, Chile, Belize and throughout the US and Canada.
Alison Ensworth: COPYWRITER
As a lifelong Vancouverite and a naturally free thinker, she reveres the innovative, the unique, and the extraordinary. She is driven by intrigue and curiosity – an incessant thirst for ideas and stories. She seeks the most colourful path from innocence to experience. Alison has been writing avidly since she was little, and hopes never to stop. Her career as a freelance writer thus far has dedicated her pen to many different endeavours, including local and international not-for-profit projects, online magazines, business media and communications, and advertising content. She has particular interest in the arts, interior & graphic design, culture & travel, and ecology. With any luck, she’ll put many of these inspirations to words as she cultivates her new place with Kihada Design.
Joey Poblabor: KREATIVE GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ILLUSTRATOR
Joey first learned how to speak by looking at his father's books on art and gazing at their pretty pictures. His first words were drawings on paper, and his favourite stories were those of colours and paint. Not one to be usually tied down, he has also traveled and lived abroad to broaden his horizons. In Japan, he gained new experiences, met different people and learned a different way of speaking and seeing things. In Vancouver, Canada he has learned to further visually articulate himself and found a new home. As a graphic designer and visual communicator, Joey is always quick to temper the thirst and drive for creativity with hard work. With an attention to detail and well-structured concepts and ideas, Joey's aim is to provide clients with quality design solutions to suit their needs—solutions, keenly derived from observations of the world at large.
Shay Namazi: KREATIVE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Growing up in a house full of her mother's paintings, Shay had become fascinated by the visual world from an early age. Having giving up on becoming an astronaut, she started her true call, making art. Starting out with her Middle Eastern influenced design to incorporating minimalist Dutch aesthetic, shay has shown originality and complexity throughout her work. Graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design with a design degree and showcased in Icograda's case studies for her innovative approaches to design education, she has experienced that the process, the very client/ designer collaboration, is as important as the final product. Lucky to be where she is now, Shay is always striving to learn more and getting absorbed into the flow of creating.
 Alfonso Quijada: WRITER/PRODUCER
Residing in Vancouver and LA, with more than 50 film and TV projects to his credit. He has over 15 years of film production, live-productions and music development. He is currently the president of Kihada Filmworks Ltd and VP of production of Boundary Bay Entertainment Inc. He is also one of the top advisers for Affinity Mediaworks Corp, a film company in the process of producing and financing a slate of 12 films, budgets $2 to $3 million. Kihada and Boundary Bay are in the process of producing a slate of nine films ranging from $2 to $80 million dollars budgets, shooting all over the world. A list of films is available upon request.
